As the Head of Finance & Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial management, operational efficiency, and overall growth strategy.
You will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of our business, optimizing processes, and ensuring the financial success of Deepnote. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with other senior leadership to develop and implement our operational and financial strategy.
What you'll work on:
- Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors
- Develop and execute financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes to drive business growth and optimize resources
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient funds for operations and growth initiatives
- Develop and maintain scalable processes, systems, and policies that support the company's growth and enable cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations, working closely with outside accounting firms in CZ/US
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines, working with our external counsel on tax and compliance matters
- Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
- Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Owning and collaborating on operational initiatives including but not limited to: legals, compliance, security, corporate GRC, G&A, people operations, and business operations
About you:
- You have experience working in Finance and Operations in a high-growth startup
- 5+ years of experience in 2 or more of the following areas: process excellence, policy enforcement, tools implementation, data analytics, and program management
- You have experience working with international (US/EU) entities
- Familiarity with accounting software, financial management tools, and business intelligence platforms
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to adapt to change and embrace challenges
- Data-driven collaborative approach with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
